Per Deadline, Mark Scout, played by Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, Step Brothers), returns to his job at Lumon Industries. The business is starting the severance procedure that divides employees from the inner circle, focusing only on the macro data sorting work and the outside world equivalents. Milchik, played by Tramell Tillman (Sweethearts, Godfather of Harlem), pays a visit to Mark and convinces him to come back to Lumon after what happened last season.The trailer shows Mark and his team, Helly, played by Britt Lower (Holly Slept Over, Man Seeking Woman), Irving, played by John Turturro (The Big Lebowski, Do the Right Thing) and Dylan, played by Zack Cherry (Fallout, You) figuring out what their work at Lumon was.
Deadline stated that the trailer also shows a major spoiler with Gemma, Mark’s wife, played by Dichen Lachman (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Aquamarine), who is still alive and is the Lumon counselor, Ms. Casey. She is actually the Lumon counselor, Ms. Casey. Audiences are introduced with new hires played by Alia Shawkat (The Old Man, Deck the Halls), Bob Babalan (The Politician, The Monuments Men) and Stefano Carannante (Blue Bloods, Hey Joe), who were shown at the end of the clip.
Mxdwn covered the debut date of season two, which is on January 17, 2025. The season was delayed because of the 2023 WGA strike. Following the January 17 premiere, each episode will be released on Friday until March 21.

Other directors for the season include Arquette, Donovan Scott (Santa Switch, Splash, Too), Jessica Lee Gagne (Sarah Prefers to Run, Despite the Night), Uta Bresiewitz (Session 9, Freaks of Nature) and Sam Donovan (Four Lions, The Widow). Other executive producers include Beau Willimon (The First, The Ideas of March), Caroline Baron (Admission, Monsoon Wedding), Jackie Cohn (Plus One, In The Dark), John Lesher (Nutcrackers, Hostiles), Jordan Tappis (A Master Builder, Grand Army), Mark Friedman (Believe, The Forgotten), Nicholas Weinstock (Thelma, Alex Strangelove) and Richard Schwartz (Straight Story, Mulholland Drive).
