Hulu’s Paradise season two had came to an end on March 30, 2026. The season was filled with many twists and turns and the finale had left us with more questions than answers. Spoiler warning for readers who have not seen season two.
For those who don’t know, Paradise is a series that tells a story about Agent Xavier Collins and his discovery of a Colorado bunker after an apocalypse takes place. In the second season, we are given a deeper dive into the world of the bunker and how humanity survived the event known as “The Day.” Agent Collins is also looking for his wife. Near the end of the season we see the collapse of the bunker and the death of Samantha who dies while initiating a lockdown to save the survivors. It is also revealed that Alex is actually an advanced AI that is linked to time travel. Actors Julianne Nicholson (The Tiger, Hacks) and Thomas Doherty (Tell Me Lies, Girls5eva), were also left with many questions regarding their characters. Nicholson played Sinatra and Doherty played Link in the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Doherty was asked the question on whether he had a full scope of his character.
“No,” Doherty told THR. “You have to go to Dan and be like, ‘Please tell me!’ So he told me. He gave me a general idea of the direction that it was heading, which is amazing and quite rare in television. A lot of the time, they haven’t even written the scripts while you’re filming. So that was really good to know directionally where I was going to go.”
Nicholson was asked how she felt about her character’s end when she has to think about Sinatra finding her humanity.
“I find her whole storyline so genuinely moving,” said Nicholson via THR. “To be able to explore those different colors of a person’s life and to flesh those out was so fun. She kind of breaks my heart, actually. Dan is so good being in the gray area, which is like being a person. We’re not all good. We are not all bad. Obviously, these are extreme circumstances. But I thought Dan did a great job, and I loved doing those last scenes with Sterling and finding that closure.'”
We will have to wait and see what the third season will have in store for us. In the meantime you can watch the entire second season of the series on Hulu.
