Season Three of ‘Bridgerton’ Lands a Spot on Netflix’s Most Popular Show Rankings

The hit series Bridgerton has once again topped Netflix’s ranking charts, as all episodes of season three are available to stream through the platform, according to Comicbook.com. While Bridgerton season one is still ranked on Netflix’s list at the number four slot, season two is in the ninth spot and season three follows right behind in the tenth spot.

According to mxdwn, Netflix brought different strategy to the newest Bridgerton season release, chopping the season in two, with the first part released on May 16 and the final part released on June 13. Mxdwn continued by covering that the premiere was viewed by 45.1 million people for its opening weekend, with “165.2 million viewing hours in the first four days after its release.”

With all the buzz surrounding season three, showrunner Jess Brownell (Scandal, Inventing Anna) told Comicbook.com that the toughest part of such success is the wait fans will have to endure leading up to season four. Estimating a wait time of upwards of two years for the next season, Brownell said, “We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” she would add. “And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range.”

As Bridgerton makes its presence fresh in viewers’ minds, watchers are reminded of Bridgerton spin-off, Queen Charlotte, another high-ranking series on Netflix’s charts. Spoilers ahead: as season one of Queen Charlotte concluded with the love match of Queen Charlotte and King George, the potential for a second season seemed plausible, giving hope to the possibility of more Bridgerton content for eager fans.

Executive producer and founder of Shondaland Productions, Shonda Rhimes (Bridgerton, Black Barbie: A Documentary), commented on whether there will be a follow-up season, saying “I’m trying to figure it out still. I don’t want to tell a story that doesn’t need to be told — do you know what I mean? I don’t want to make a second season of Queen Charlotte, and you’re going to be, like, ‘Well, that was not that great,’” via Comicbook.com.

While the next Bridgerton story will require some patience, all episodes of Bridgerton season three are available to stream on Netflix.
