Per Comicbook, The Amazing World Of Gumball will release new episodes for season seven. The children animated series announced that a new series will be releasing soon and although fans thought about a reboot, season seven was revealed. With the news of the seventh season of the series, the news of the debut being in 2025 or 2026 was also given.
Sean Henry, the Vice President International Content Partnerships and Content Strategy at Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that the show will come back in 2025 and fans are waiting anxiously. In 2019, The Amazing World Of Gumball ended in season six and in 2021, two specials were released making it an official end.
Additionally, Cartoon Network hopes the children’s animated series will draw the attention of children to compete with Youtube on the screen time. Per C21Media, Henry believes that The Amazing World of Gumball captures audiences of all ages and demographics.
Max and Cartoon Network are experiencing major streaming and library changes. However, TAWOG is one of the series that will stay on the show due to other revivals in the work. Other shows that are in a similar situation are Adventure Time, Regular Show and more. Comicbook states that the children’s animated series could be the key to bringing more subscribers to Max. Per mxdwn, Max is focusing more on family and adult content, as they are not renewing Sesame Street and other children shows. Many cartoon network shows that are geared more to children will be leaving the streaming service.
Via Comicbook, the season seven debut episode of The Amazing World of Gumball is titled “The Burger” as main characters Gumball and Darwin attempt to eat healthy. The Annecy International Animation Film Festival last year teased the first episode in a series special presentation. Additionally, the presentation revealed the upcoming season picks up after the season six cliffhanger, which brings back Gumball’s foe Rob. The Void will be further explored in the new season. Fans thought that The Amazing World of Gumball movie was cancelled. Ben Bocquelet (Grizzy & the Lemmings, The Hell’s Kitchen), the series’ creator, proved the rumors wrong stated that the film is still being worked on and the script is changing overtime. A film release date has not yet been revealed.
