Today, a trailer was released for the third season of Netflix’s Outer Banks, according to Deadline. The creators of the series are Josh Pate (The Grave, Deceiver), Jonas Pate (The Take, Shrink), and Shannon Burke (Syriana). The series first premiered on April 15, 2020. View the teaser below.
According to Deadline, the cast stars Chase Stokes (Lost Island, The Beach House), Madelyn Cline (What Breaks the Ice, This Is The Night), Madison Bailey (Discarded Things), Jonathan Daviss (Deliverance Creek, Shattered Memories), and Rudy Pankow (Not Me, Last Summer).
In the teaser clip, Stokes’ John B says, “My Pops always said, ‘Nothing good comes easy, nothing worthy is given. Question is, what are you willing to do to win? How far will you go to get your treasure?” The second season ended with the Pogues in a brawl on a boat which they escaped. In season three, the treasure hunt continues on an island they call Poguelandia. The island is a picture perfect place of sand and beautiful blue skies but, of course, things are never as perfect as they seem.
According to Deadline, new additions in the third season include Fiona Palomo (Gossip Girl: Acapulco, Control Z), Andy McQueen (Brown Girl Begins, Fahrenheit 451), and Lou Ferrigno Jr. (How I Met Your Mother, Teen Wolf,). They also join Charles Esten (Nashville, Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Carlacia Grant (Roots, The Resident), and Austin North (Kickin’ It, I Didn’t Do It). Viewers will also see the return of John B’s father, Big John, who was presumed to have died at sea while searching for the Royal Merchant treasure. This is just another new twist in the story.
The third season of Outer Banks is scheduled for a 2023 release date.
