Sean Bean Reveals HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Reunion Interview with Conan

Game of Thrones fans will be excited to know that the cast of the hit TV show on HBO had a huge reunion. All characters, dead and alive, joined Conan for a special interview in Belfast, where Game of Thrones is mainly shot. However, the reunion will not be aired on TV. Instead, it will be part of the series box set. We can expect to finally see this special interview after the conclusion of the final season.

Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark, was killed at the end of season one. He spoke about seeing everyone after years of his character’s demise. “It was the last episode, so we all got together,” said Bean. “It was good! It’s funny with work, you don’t really keep in touch. You do so many types of jobs in that part of the world. It’s just like whenever I see old friends or even old drama school friends, it’s just the same, we pick up where we left off last time.” He continues, “It was for season eight, the last one. So they decided to get all the characters together for a bit for this big show in Belfast and [O’Brien] kind of hosted the evening.”

Previously in the month, a lot was discussed for the final season including how emotional it was for everyone involved. “It’s about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death,” co-executive producer Bryan Cogman says. “It’s an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honors very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do — which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”

Game of Thronesfinal season will premiere in April 2019.
