SDCC Announces Panel For First Look At Adult Swim’s New Series ‘Rick and Morty: The Anime’

Rick and Morty: The Anime’s panel program at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 has been released by Adult Swim, Comicbook.com reports. The company has revealed that they will be showing an exclusive first-look trailer for the new anime series at SDCC on July 26, at 12:00 p.m. local time to fans with the special participation of producers Takenari Maeda (Avalon, The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara) and Joseph Chou (Knights of the Zodiac, Ninja Kamui) writer and director Takeshi Sano (Daughter of Light, Daughters’ Courage) and Adult Swim’s CEO of the action and anime department Jason DeMarco (Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Toonami: The Intruder).

Adult Swim’s official synopsis of the SDCC panel is available to read below via Comicbook.com:

“Adult Swim’s Rick And Morty: The Anime Series First Look – Go further into the multiverse of Rick and Morty with the new series Rick and Morty: The Anime as it lands at San Diego Comic-Con. Writer/director Sano, producers Chou and Maeda, and Adult Swim’s head of action and anime DeMarco will share details about the intergalactic adventure and show you the inner workings of the new series on Adult Swim. Friday (7/26) at 12:00 PM, Indigo Ballroom

According to Comicbook.com, this is not the only exclusive news related to Rick and Morty: The Anime that will be coming up in 2024. Adult Swim confirmed that they will be live-streaming an exclusive screening of the first episode on the evening of July 26, after the panel, on the official YouTube channel. The day after, a promotional tour will start for the show, named Anime-rican Tour, and will feature two vehicles named the Rickmobile and Mortymobile. This tour will be going to nine different states and cities across the USA, and the last stop will be the home of Adult Swim’s headquarters, which is in Atlanta, GA.

Rick and Morty: The Anime will be released this year, but there is no official release date yet.
