Head’s up Blade Runner fans, San Diego Comic Con has released an official teaser for Blade Runner 2099. Let’s not waste any time and make our return to Los Angeles in the year 2099.
For those who don’t know, Blade Runner is a franchise set in a neo-noir cyberpunk future where police operatives are called “Blade Runners” are tasked with hunting down and “retire” bioengineered human lookalikes, otherwise known as Replicants. For Blade Runner 2099, we are in Los Angeles 2099, where a veteran Blade Runner named Olwen, partners with a mysterious new recruit named Cora, to investigate a widening conspiracy that stretches back to the city’s darkest sins. The series takes place fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049.
The cast consists of Michelle Yeoh (It’s My Time, Sandiwara), Hunter Schafer (Euphoria, Mother Mary), Dimitri Abold (Hijack, Secret Level), Tom Burke (Legends, Winter of the Crow), Lewis Gribben (The Perfect Strangers, Mint), Johnny Harris (Legends, A Gentleman in Moscow), Wil Coban (Supergirl, Pressure), Alexandra Russo (Blade Runner 2099, Pubertat), Hugo Hamlet (Deep Soup, Naked – Hugo Hamlet), Francis Lovehall (Dear England, A Thousand Blows), Hassan Najib (Diamond Sky, Mother Mother), Andrew Van Wilpe (3 Body Problem, Ride or Die), Juliana Yazbeck (Criminial Record, Malice), John Addison (Cortex Alpha, Call the Midwife), Duff MacDonald (Late Bloomer, Frankenstein), Daniel Phung (Rain Dogs, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), Xueni Yang (Fir, Hush), Sam C. Silka Luisa (Shining Girls, Halo) will serve as showrunner and executive producer along with Ridley Scott (The Terror, Trap House), Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove (The Garfield Movie, Lullaby) and Broderick Johnson (Pete the Cat, The Expense), Alcon’s President of Television Ben Roberts (Blade Runner: Black Lotus, The Expanse: One Ship), David W. Zucker (Dope Thief, Prime Target), and Clayton Krueger (Still Missing Morgan, Kaleidoscope).
The series is set to premiere on November 25, 2026.
