The Apple TV panel held on July 25 had lots of commotion and excitement for television viewers, releasing an arrangement of new content for fans to enjoy. Six different panels presented for different television shows and movies such as Matchbox, Dark Matter, Neuromancer, Widow’s Bay, Silo and May Day.
John Cena, Jessica Biel, Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson, Teyonah París and Sam Heartgrave were a part of the Matchbox The Movie panel. The film focuses on a group of childhood friends trying to save the day after learning that their former leader, Shawn, is a spy. Matchbox releases October 9. Through different action clips of cars tumbling, fighting inside of a plane and gunfire erupting, the group finds themselves joining Shawn in his adventures.
“I work alone,” Shawn says.
“Not anymore.” Amy replies.
Dark Matter’s panel included Jennifer Connelly, Joel Edgerton, Alice Braga, Blake Crouch and Dayo Okeniyi. The trailer shows the characters drawn to a box that holds mystery as well as elements of time travel that is later revealed. However, chaos strikes as the different alternate realities could coexist. A version of Jason Dessen holding a gun is being investigated, and Jason teams up with a detective in order to figure out the mystery. As the trailer continues, Jason attempts to destroy the box which leads to more destruction than he thought.
“The box is one of the most powerful things ever created,” Leighton Vance explains.
Neuromancer will premiere January 22, 2027 as the trailer was introduced by show lead, Callum Turner. Turner couldn’t make it to Hall H but he did surprise the audience with a filmed video, stating how he hopes fans enjoy the trailer. The trailer depicted different scenes showing the futuristic environment and protagonist fighting unknown enemies.
Mayday, will premiere September 4 with Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh. The panel included Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
Widow’s Bay panel included series stars Katie Diggold, Stephen Root, Kevin Carroll, K Callan, Hiro Murai, Jeff Hiller, Dale Dickey, Kingston Rumi Southwick and Matthew Rhys, who appeared on Zoom. Dickey brought out an old 90’s projector to showcase a newspaper with the title ‘Cannibalism In God’s House.’ Therefore, Dickey transitioned to asking the mayor Tom of the events that occurred.
Panel moderator Josh Horowitz proceeded to ask Rhys about his role as a leader. Rhys said, “I think his effectiveness certainly would be down to the island as a joke. I think he is enthusiastic without question. Without a doubt. He’s enthusiastic. He wants the best not only for the island but those who live upon it.”
The Silo panel had Common, Rebecca Ferguson, Jessica Henwick, Graham Yost, Ashely Zuckerman, Alexandria Riley and guest star Tim Robbins. They reiterated the fourth season will be the show’s last.
