

While horror fans await the fourth season of Interview With the Vampire, AMC has queued up another series to fill the void. Today at San Diego Comic-Con, the network and Crave unveiled the first look at Yaga, a new mystery thriller based on the myth of Baba Yaga. Attendees were treated to the teaser trailer, which can be viewed below.
Set in a small costal town, a private investigator becomes enthralled with something beyond belief while investigating the disappearance of a local heir to a powerful fishery. Partnering with local a local detective, he encounters a myriad of suspects hiding secret lives and ancient magic.
The series stars Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek, Strange Days at Blake Holsey High) as PI Rapp and Hudson Williams (Heated Rivlary, Tyrant) as missing heir, Henry Park. They are joined by Clark Backo (The Changeling, I Want You Back) as Detective Carson and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jessica Jones, The Matrix) as university professor, Katherine.
Additional cast members include Sheila McCarthy (Women Talking, Die Hard 2), Megan Follows (Stealing the Sky, The Way Home), Ezra Franky (Untamed, Black Thumb), Patrick Gilmore (Travelers, School Spirits), Katherine Isabelle (Backrooms, Tracker) and Hiro Kanagawa (Star Trek: Discovery, Altered Carbon). Recurring guests include Anisa Harris (The Power, So Help Me Todd), Sam Krochmal (The Vince Staples Show, Fire Country), Emilija Baranac (Fakes, The Midnight Club) and Georgia Acken (Under the Bridge, Lucid).
Based on the play by showrunner and writer Kat Sandler (Limetown, Kim’s Convenience), Yaga is a Crave Original series produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media. The half-hour series is co-directed by David Frazee (Flashpoint, Endgame) and Rachel Talalay (Sherlock, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) with executive producers Mackenzie Donaldson (All the Lost Ones, Snowpiercer), Andrew Miller and Moss. Charles Cooper (Wilds Cards, Love, Again) is a producer.
