‘Scrubs’ Reboot Premieres First Look Teaser Trailer

According to DeadlineScrubs has revealed a new teaser for the upcoming reboot series. “I’m back, baby!,” exclaims Dr. JD Dorian in the teaser for the reboot. The reboot is set 15 years after JD said goodbye to Sacred Heart to take a new job as a residency director to be closer to his son.

As per Deadline, Scrubs is created by Bill Lawrence (Bad Monkey, Cougar Town) and follows the lives of J.D. and his friends as they navigate their medical careers and personal lives at Sacred Heart Hospital, focusing on the emotional toll and camaraderie of working in a high-pressure environment. The original series aired on NBC for seven seasons from 2001-08, followed by two more seasons on ABC in 2009-10.

According to Deadline, the official logline for the reboot reads as follows: it will follow JD Dorian and Christopher Turk , who scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.

As per Deadline, returning cast includes  Zach Braff (Garden State, Wish I Was Here) as JD, Donald Faison (Clueless, Remember the Titans) as Turk, Sarah Chalke (Rick and Morty, Animal Control) as Elliot, Judy Reyes (Devious Maids, The Circle) as Carla and John C. McGinley (Wall Street, Point Break) as Cox. News cast members joining the reboot includes Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live, I love That for You) as Sibby, and Joel Kim Booster (Loot, Fire Island) as attending physician Dr. Eric Park. The new intern class will consist of five newbies: Ava Bunn (Worked to Death, Head Shot) as Serena, Jacob Dudman (Fate: The Winx Saga, The Stranger) as Asher, David Gridley (All American, It Takes Three) as Blake, Layla Mohammadi (Mad About You, Lioness, ) as Amara, and Amanda Morrow (Law & Order: SVU) as Dashana.

The Scrubs reboot premieres Feb. 25 on ABC and will stream on Hulu.
