U.K.’s Scripps Network has put in what is said to be the largest show order in its history, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The network supposedly ordered 40 episodes of ‘The Big Eat’ for the U.K, Middle East, and Africa. This new kitchen series, produced by Sweet TV, will feature a variety of U.K. famous personalities who will welcome a selection of chefs in creating three decadent recipes per 30 minute show.
“The Big Eat is testament to the rapid growth that we have experienced across U.K. and EMEA,” said Nick Thorogood, Scripps U.K. & EMEA senior vp of content and marketing according to The Hollywood Reporter. “With our vast array of new commissions and the best mix of local and library content, we are confident that we have engaging channels that are locally balanced for differing audience needs.”
