Everyone’s favorite serial killer is trading her neck brace for a Hannibal Lecter mask.
Last night Scream Queens released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming second season, and it gives us a first look at Lea Michele reprising her role as Hester. And you may notice that Hester has traded her cumbersome neck brace in for some new hardware.
Check out the trailer below.
While the first season was set at a college campus, the second season will relocate the cast and characters to a hospital. At PaleyFest earlier this year showrunner Brad Falchuk discussed the second season and what fans should expect. What was revealed is that the second season will focus more on Jaime Lee Curtis as Dean Cathy Munsch than the Chanels as was the case in the first season. And in the second season we will see Munsch trade her role as college dean for a position at a hospital where she will strive to cure cases which other doctors have given up on. I guess we can include Hester in that list of incurable cases.
Michele announced back in March that she would be returning for season two of Scream Queens. Fans of the first season will remember that Hester actually turned out to be working with Boone (Nick Jonas) as the Red Devil murderer who had a particular fondness for sorority women. But nobody every discovered she is the serial killer. Instead, Hester convinced the authorities that Chanel (Emma Roberts) and her sidekicks Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd) and Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin) were guilty for the murders.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash will all be returning for Scream Queens season two. Joining the cast in the new season are John Stamos and Taylor Lautner. Stamos has signed on as a series regular and Lautner will play a doctor at the hospital who becomes romantically involved with one of the Chanels and then finds himself a suspect in the strange occurrences at the hospital.
Scream Queens returns September 20 on Fox.
