With only a few episodes into the first season of Scream, MTV has renewed the series for another season.
Executive producer Jaime Paglia announced the news for the renewal at the Scream panel at Comic-Con. There were not many details following the announcement, but it is clear that MTV has high hopes for the future of the series.
According to Screen Crush, Bella Thorne will return for the show’s second season despite being killed in the pilot episode. Fans have begun speculating on what this could mean. Does her character have a twin? Could the second season be set in the past? Flashbacks? The possibilities are endless.
Jill E. Blotevogel, Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin are the creators of Scream. Starring in the series is Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus and John Karna. The series follows a string of teen murders that could possibly be linked to the town’s terrible past.
Scream airs on MTV Tuesdays at 10/9c.
