The Major Crimes actor might get a role in the Shonda Rhimes drama at ABC.
According to The Wrap, Tenney will have a romantic role in Scandal and it seems like during the third season, he will have a romantic interest in the First Lady, Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young).
The casting news comes after ABC confirmed that the current season will have only 18 episodes, not 22. There are rumors that say that the reason for this could be the pregnancy of the star Kerry Washington. There are other voices that say that because the first season went over the budget, they had to make a cutting move for this season.
Jon Tenney recently played the role of Agent Fritz Howard in Major Crimes and The Closer from TNT. His credits also include Brothers and Sisters and The Newsroom.
ABC will air the midseason finale for Scandal next Thursday.
