The Sex and the City reunion is in full swing. Sarah Jessica Parker (Failure to Launch) has posted a photo on Instagram during production on the reunion, showing off her and Kristin Davis (Deadly Illusions) and Cynthia Nixon (Ratched) have reunited in New York City, via TVLine.
Parker captioned the photo of her and her costars stating that they’d read through the first scripts for the reunion, and that the trio was loving being “together again”. According to TVLine, the Sex and the City reunion was only announced in January of 2021, but is set to reunite Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Nixon), and Charlotte (Davis) as they “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s”, per the official longline.

Sex and the City ran on HBO from 1998-2004, following the lives of Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha (played by Kim Cattrall, Sex and the City 2), who will not appear in the revival. According to TVLine, the reunion will bring back several of Sex and the City‘s biggest stars while also establishing new characters unique to the HBO Max exclusive special.
Mr. Big will return with Chris Noth (The Equalizer) reprising his role from the original series, as will Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Aidan Shaw will be played by John Corbett (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), via TVLine. David Eigenberg (Chicago Fire) and Evan Handler (Californication) will play Miranda’s husband, Steve Brady, and Charlotte’s husband, Harry Goldenblatt, respectively. Stanford Blatch, Carrie’s gay best friend, will be played by Willie Garson (White Collar) and Mario Cantone (Sex and the City 2) will star as another one of Carrie’s exuberant friends, Anthony Marentino.
New additions to the cast include Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy), who will play Che Diaz, a non-binary and queer comedian who host a podcast on which Carrie often collaborates, via TVLine. While it seems production is well underway on the revival, there is no release date for the series yet.
