Yesterday, The View started off their daytime show by pointing the camera in the audience attempting to find someone with news of a baby on the way. Once the cameras came full circle, co-host Sara Haines announced her pregnancy. The audience erupted with applause.
“It’s a girl!” Haines proudly revealed before being silly-strung by her co-hosts. “Sunny warned me about the date on these eggs. I don’t have the privilege of time, I’m an older mommy.”
Last year, Haines had first-born son Alec with husband Max Shifrin. “I think Max is scared,” she said, adding, “I just feel I get the female experience way more than the little boy thing.” Haines, 39, is due in December, and made a statement to People.”We are so excited to add to our little family.”
The news surfaces one week after co-host Jedediah Bila announced her engagement to boyfriend Jeremy Scher. Both co-hosts officially joined the hot-topics table in 2016, along with Sunny Hostin. The View posted gains in all key target demos, outperforming ‘The Talk‘ for a third consecutive week, ABC News reports. The daytime show saw an increase in total viewers over the course of this season, making it the most watched season in three years.
