‘Saint-Pierre’: CBC Reveals Trailer And Premiere Date For Upcoming Procedural Series

Per Deadline, Canada’s CBC has unveiled the trailer and premiere date for Saint-Pierre, the network’s upcoming procedural series. Created by and starring Allan Hawco (Sullivan’s Crossing, Moonshine), the series will launch on the Canadian national broadcaster on January 6 at 9 p.m. on CBC and CBC Gem.

Saint Pierre centers around Inspector Donny “Fitz” Fitzpatrick (Hawco). After digging too deeply into a local politician’s nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean. The arrival of Fitz disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève “Arch“ Archambault, played by Joséphine Jobert (Death in Paradise, Avenue 5), a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons. James Purefoy (Land of Women, The Veil) rounds out the main cast, which also includes Benz Antoine (Reasonable Doubt, Hudson & Rex) as Marcus, Erika Prevost (The Boys, The Next Step) as Patty and Jean-Michel Le Gal (Paris Paris, Accused) as Renuf.

The series reflects the current global penchant for procedurals. It was one of Fifth Season’s big sells at MIPCOM.

Saint-Pierre is created by Hawco, Robina Lord-Stafford (Wild Cards, Macy Murdoch) and Perry Chafe (Frontier, Republic of Doyle), with Hawco and Lord-Stafford serving as showrunners. Hawco, Lord-Stafford and Chafe along with John Vatcher (SurrealEstate, Little Dog), Janine Squires (Son of a Critch) and Erin Sullivan (Caught) serve as executive producers. The pilot episode is directed and executive produced by TJ Scott (Departure, The Cleaning Lady), and additional episodes are directed by Vatcher, Winnifred Jong (Murdoch Mysteries, Jane) and Vanessa Masui (Shoresy, Letterkenny). The series is produced in association with Fifth Season, which also handles global distribution for the show.
