Sasha Alexander (Rizzoli & Isles’) and Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) announced the SAG Award nominations with 12 Years A Slave leading the way.
According to Deadline, the two hosts revealed the nominations in 13 acting categories, five in film and eight in television. The nominations also included outstanding action performance by TV and film stunt ensembles, those winners will be announced at the SAG Awards pre-show January 18.
Leading the way in nominations was 12 Years A Slave with four nominations including a nomination for Outstanding Performance By A Cast. Others nominated in that category are American Hustle, August: Osage County, Dallas Buyers Club and Lee Daniel’s The Butler. Last year’s winner in this category was the film Argo. On the television side of the nominations, Breaking Bad lead the way with four nominations as well.
For film, the Weinstein Company led studios with seven nominations and HBO lead with 13 nominations among the networks.
The Screen Actors Guild is mailing out voting information to those paid-up members and final votes must be received by Friday, January 17, 2017.
The SAG Awards will simulcast live on TNT and TBS on January 18.
