Sadie Sink Cries Filming The Last Season Stranger Things

Star of Stranger Things Sadie Sink ( The Whale, Dear Zoe)reflects on her time as Stranger Things is in its fifth and final season. The hit Netflix show that premiered in 2018 follows a group of young boys living in Hawkins, Indiana, with one of the group members being Mike Wheeler(Finn Wolfhard, IT, The Turning ), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp Abe, The Peanut Story), Lucas Sinclair(Caleb McLaughlin Shooting Stars, The New Edition Story), and Dustin Henderson(Gaten Matarazzo Honor Society, The Angry Birds Movie). The show is set in the 1980s. They learn that strange things happen daily; they befriend Eleven while searching for Will Byers. Sink joined the cast in season two as Maxine “Max” Mayfield, a new kid moving into Hawkins with her brother Billy( Dacre Montgomery Elvis, Power Rangers).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sink admits that during filming the final season, she cried a lot while wrapping up Stranger Things. Sink stated, “I haven’t seen anything from it yet. I’m very curious, though. It’s going to be super emotional, so I’m ready to cry with everyone. “I had cried so much that my eyes were so puffy — they had never been like that before, and there are some pretty embarrassing photos of me just with these giant puffy eyes.”

Sink is set to star in O’Dessa, a rock opera set in a post-apocalyptic future. Sink stars as the titular O’Dessa, a farm girl who goes on a journey to retrieve a family heirloom and save true love. Sink shared her thoughts on this role: “I was immediately intrigued, but I had to listen to the music first. And then I did, and I really fell in love with the character and also just the musical world that [writer-director] Geremy [Jasper] had built. So it seemed like the perfect challenge to take on.”

O’Dessa starts streaming March 20 on Hulu.
