Sacha Baron Cohen is returning to television with a new half-hour satirical series on Showtime titled Who Is America?. Baron Cohen is doing both the writing and the directing for the seven episode series. The logline for it is, “will explore the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate our unique nation.” Baron Cohen and Showtime have been teasing the new series with tweets and posters, building up the anticipation for his new show.

This will be Baron Cohen’s first television project since his time on Da Ali G Show, which was on both HBO and Channel 4 in the UK. His show actually inspired two spinoff movies: Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and Brüno.
Who Is America? will air online and On Demand this coming Sunday, July 15th 12 a.m. (midnight) ET/July 14th at 9 p.m. PT. It will also premiere on air on July 15th at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and continue with subsequent episodes at the same time every Sunday night.
