Fox has ordered a new reality dating show entitled Dream Date, which is being developed by Ryan Seacrest Productions, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Dream Date will feature a group of women searching for love, and as reported by Deadline is rumored to “feature a celebrity element.” While an air date has not been confirmed, the company is currently on location for filming.
Although details have not been announced by Fox, Entertainment Weekly noted there was a casting call for women over 21 last spring. The auditions read, “Do you think chivalry is dead?” the audition sheets read. “Are you asked or expected to pay half the final bill? Would you like to be wined and dined? Are you ready to have a life-changing dating experience?” Perhaps the contestants will be vying for the attention of a male celebrity for a possible “life-changing dating experience.”
While Seacrest has been busy hosting Fox’s American Idol singing contest, his production company has also been successful with popular reality series including Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Shahs Of Sunset.
Fox has not released details on when the reality show will debut, but Deadline states there is a possibility of Dream Date airing as early as late fall 2013.
