Ryan Seacrest will host and produce this year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ on ABC.
In December 2005, Seacrest was a co-host along with Dick Clark for the New Year’s Eve show. According to Deadline, last year Seacrest drew 22.6 million viewers and had a two-hour tribute to the original host.
Alles Shapiro, the CEO of Dick Clark Prods said that “It’s very difficult to take over a franchise created by an icon and grow it. Ryan has done just that”. Seacrest mentioned the fact that he will always be grateful for the experience he had on the show at ABC.
