The star of the A&E Network’s popular reality series died Friday night of a heart attack in Texas.
Shipping Wars star Roy Garber died of a heart attack in Texas according to The Wrap. He owned and operated Arbie’s Team Transport out of New Hampshire, alongside his son, one of the show’s top earners.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family,” the network said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”
His longtime girlfriend said that he was rushed to a Texas hospital after suffering the heart attack and died shortly after. According to The Wrap, the people close to the family said that the star was suffering from a heart condition for some time.
Roy Garber starred on Shipping Wars since the series debut in 2012. The show returned for the fifth season in December and it centered some independent truck drivers who moved large, unusual items that traditional movers refused to ship. The show is produced for A&E by Megalomedia. Jonathan Nowzaradan is the exec producer and showrunner of the series.
