A top-10 90s television is returning to ABC. Almost 21 years later ABC has released the return date for Roseanne. ABC will have an hour long premiere of the show on March 27. The Emmy-winning family sitcom, Roseanne, will feature the original cast as well: Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sara Gilbert, and Michael Fishman. Also, one of the stars from the Big Bang Theory will also make his return: Johnny Galecki. Sarah Chalke (the actress that replaced Lecy Goranson in the later seasons) will also make a return to the show, but in a different role. Meaning that Goranson will be Becky once again.
ABC Entertainment said that the show will, “explore life, death and everything in between through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of the Conner household.” The nine episode revival will also include a new generation added to the family: Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, and Jayden Rey. This should make fans of the show excited. With an original cast, guest stars, and a new generation added to the family, Roseanne looks to be an exciting revival.
In the final season of the original show (in the 90s) John Goodman’s character (Dan Conner) actually died; however, Barr did say that there is going to be an explanation for his revival. Fans heartbroken by his death rejoice because he is coming back. A few of the guest stars to the original show will also be returning: Sandra Bernhard, Estelle Parsons, Natalie West, James Pickens Junior, and Adilah Barnes.
The show will air Tuesday nights on ABC. Be sure not to miss it!
