Rosario Dawson Cast in ‘Daredevil’

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Netflix has cast Rosario Dawson (Cesar Chavez) as the first female role in their upcoming comic-book series Daredevil.

Dawson will play a woman trying to help save Hell’s Kitchen, which leads her to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), as they try to battle The Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) to right the wrongs of the crime-ridden city. Steven DeKnight (Sparticus) will be the showrunner for the 13-episode series. Daredevil will be the first of several Marvel series to be made by Netflix, along with Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones.
