ABC drama series Big Sky has added Emmy-nominated actress Rosanna Arquette (The Executioner’s Song) in a recurring role, per Deadline. Arquette will play Virginia ‘Gigi’ Cessna, the fast-talking mother of Jenny Hoyt, played by Katheryn Winnick (Vikings). Gigi is a world-class scammer who often used Jenny in her cons during her childhood, which remains a current source of resentment for Jenny. When Gigi returns to town caught up in her latest scheme, Jenny stops her in her tracks, forcing the two to work through their fractured relationship.
Season three of Big Sky is subtitled ‘Deadly Trails.’ The series has added Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as Beau Arlen, Henry Ian Cusick (MacGyver) as Avery, Seth Gabel (Genius: Picasso) as Walter, Madalyn Horcher (Doom Patrol) as Paige, Reba McEntire (Reba) as Sunny Barnes, Luke Mitchell (Legacies) as Cormac, and Anirudh Pisharody (Never Have I Ever) as Luke. Additional cast members of Big Sky include Kylie Bunbury (When They See Us), Patrick Gallagher (Safeguard), Brian Geraghty (Briarpatch), Jesse James Keitel (Queer as Folk), John Carroll Lynch (Gaslit), Omar Metwally (Lisey’s Story), Dedee Pfieffer (Flatline), and Anja Savcic (Nancy Drew) among others.
Big Sky is created by eleven-time Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies). Kelley also executive produces the series alongside C.J. Box (Joe Pickett), Ross Fineman (The Lincoln Lawyer), Academy Award nominee Matthew Gross (The InBetween), and Emmy Award nominee Paul McGuigan (Emergence).
Rosanna Arquette’s recent credits include Clarence Fuller’s Signs of Love, Ryan David’s Futra Days, The L Word: Generation Q, Ratched, and Michael Maxxis’s Puppy Love. Arquette has also earned two BAFTA Award nominations throughout her career for projects After Hours and Desperately Seeking Susan, a project that ultimately won her the award.
Season three of Big Sky will premiere on September 21st on ABC.
