According to Deadline, Spanish singer Rosalia (Motomami, El Mal Querer) teased what is set to be her first acting stint in the third season of HBO’s Euphoria during an interview with this year’s Vogue Met Gela livestream, which was hosted by Teyana Taylor (A Thousand And One) and Ego Nwodim (Singularity, Galactic War Room).
Stated via Deadline,”This is my first job, eh? Well, I’m learning, I’m figuring it out,” Rosalia reportedly stated, “I’m trying not to forget my lines, but it’s been really inspiring being beside these amazing actors and actresses. My first time, figuring it out, trying to have fun with it, play around, improvise.”
Deadline mentions that Rosalia wore a custom mannequin-inspired dress by Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing to the Met Gala. This year’s event carried a “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme with the addendum dress code “Tailored for You”.
According to Deadline, Rosalia also stated that, “Euphoria has been my favorite series of the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all these colleagues that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam’s vision to reality,” at the time of the announcement of her joining the cast. She was officially announced as a part of the set in mid-February alongside Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms) and Kadeem Harrison (A Different World, Drive).
Deadline also mentions that a handful of notable actors have also been introduced to the set of Euphoria since the mid-February announcement. Some of those names include Asante Blackk (This Is Us, When They See Us), Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct, Casino), and Lucy Punch (Into The Woods, Bad Teacher). These names get added to an already star-studded cast, including Sydney Sweeney (Madame Web, Immaculate), Zendaya (Spiderman: Homecoming, Malcolm & Marie), and Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth, Priscilla).
According to Deadline, Euphoria‘s third season is currently shooting in Los Angeles, produced in partnership with A24.
