The second season premiere for Ricky Gervais’ Netflix series, After Life, is set to be available for streaming on April 24, according to Deadline. The comedy-drama is created, produced, and directed by Gervais in addition to Duncan Hayes (Derek) and Charlie Hanson (Extras) as producers for the series. Gervais is best known for his creation of The Office (U.K.) and the executive produced its U.S. version. He has also created and starred in HBO’s Extras and Channel 4’s Derek in addition to hosting the Golden Globe Awards five-times.
After Life has released one season consisting of six episodes that follow Tony Jonhson, portrayed by Gervais, after his wife’s death who attempts to adapt to his new life as he starts a mission to punish the world. The series cast for season two includes David Bradley (Game of Thrones and the Harry Potter Franchise), Ashley Jensen (Extras), Penelope Wilton (Shaun of the Dead and Downton Abbey), David Earl (Extras and Rovers), Tony Way (Game of Thrones), Tom Basden (The Wrong Mans), and Ethan Lawrence (Bad Education).
