Ray Liotta (Shades of Blue) is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming Apple TV+ series In With The Devil. Liotta joins Taron Egerton (Rocketman) and the cast in the new series drama adaptation created by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone, Baby, Gone), according to Deadline. The six-episode drama is based on the the book In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, And A Dangerous Bargain For Redemption by James Keene and Hillel Levin, according to Deadline.
Egerton will play the main character the book centers around, Jimmy Keene. Keene is the son of a Chicago cop who winds up in prison. A few months into his sentence the lawyer who prosecuted Keene proposes a deal: Coax one of his fellow inmates who is suspected of serial murderer to confession, then he can obtain his freedom once again.The series will explore the intimate relationship between the two prisoners and the inevitable ultimate betrayal. In With The Devil puts a magnifying glass on the lengths that people will go to in order to seek their redemption.
Liotta is set to play Jimmy’s father, “Big Jim”. Liotta just finished wrapping up the prequel feature film The Many Saints Of Newark, which leads up to the start of HBO’s hit series The Sopranos. Recent credits also include Marriage Story, NBC’s Shades Of Blue and Netflix’s Hubi Halloween.
The Apple Studios book adaptation, In With The Devil will be be executive produced by Lehane and Director Michael R. Roskam (The Drop, Berlin Station), Egerton, Richard Plepler though Eden Productions; Bradley Thomas. Dan Friedkin, and Rayan Friedkin of Imperative Entertainment; Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert, Kary Antholis and author Keene according to Deadline.
