Rachael Taylor will star in a new superhero series on Netflix titled A.K.A. Jessica Jones.
Upcoming Marvel series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones, on Netflix has found a best friend to the shows title character.
Marvel announced on Tuesday that Grey’s Anatomy alum Rachael Taylor has joined the cast of this new series. This comic book drama is only one of four Marvel shows that will be airing on Netflix. This successful streaming service has committed to releasing a minimum of four 13-episode series. First will be Daredevil, followed by A.K.A. Jessica Jones.
Krysten Ritter (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) will star in this outbreaking series as Jessica Jones herself. Throughout the series, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective in New York. After a tragic ending to her own superhero act, she gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Taylor will play Trish Walker, who is Jessica Jones’ best friend. Trish Walker works as a radio-talk-show host and is a former model and child TV star. Trish Walker assists Jessica Jones on the most dangerous case of Jones’ career.
The cast of this new drama series also includes David Tennant (Doctor Who and Broadchurch), who plays the villain Killgrave, and Mike Colter (The Good Wife), who plays Luke Cage. Overseeing Jessica Jones will be Twilight‘s Melissa Rosenberg.
A.K.A. Jessica Jones and Daredevil will premiere sometime in 2015. This role marks Rachael Taylor’s latest small-screen stint following NBC’s short-lived Crisis and ABC’s 666 Park Avenue and Charlie’s Angels. Taylor is represented by WME and Management 360.
