Hoping over ancient tombs traps and onto streaming services, Amazon MGM Studios is developing a love letter to the Tomb Raider series by creating a live action show. Recently, Amazon Studios has revealed the full cast and the roles.

Prime Video reports that Martin Bobb-Semple (Pandora, Free Rain) as Zip, Jason Isaacs (Peter Pan, White Lotus) as Atlas DeMornay, and Bill Paterson (Flea Bag, The Repair Shop) as Winston come straight from the games. To make the cast more interesting and to help support the main cast, Jack Bannon (Pennyworth, Pulse) is Gerry, John Hefferman (Dracula, Lot No. 249) is David, Celia Imrie (Nanny McPhee, Calendar Girls) is Francine, and Sasha Luss is Sasha (Anna, Sheroes) plus so many more.
Sophie Turner (Trust, Dark Phoenix) stars as Lara Croft herself in an interview with Prime video cannot contain her excitement as she says, “I’ve been a long-time fan of Tomb Raider and the character of Lara. She has always felt for me, very emboldened in a male dominated world. She’s a fierce female role model!”
In the Tomb Raider games, there are various villains that want the treasure in the tombs that Lara goes for. Once she gets them, they usually steal it from her but get punished from it. Villains include Father Mathias, Charles Devereaux, Mathias Vogel, and Himiko. However, in the live action the villain isn’t some big time crime lord, it is a treasure hunter just like Croft. So it could be seen as whose the better explorer and hunter.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the director, told Comic Book.com, “Tomb Raider boasts a plethora of iconic characters. I am thrilled to have been able to bring some personal and fan favourites to the screen while also introducing a few new rascals of our own to the mix,” Waller-Bridge said. “This cast is beyond my wildest dreams!”
