Prime Video’s ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer Revealed

The Summer I Turned Pretty debuted last summer on Prime Video. The series is based off of the book trilogy by author Jenny Han (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Burn for Burn). The first three episodes of the second season is set to release on July 14th.

The Summer I Turned Pretty revolves around Belly Conklin, played by Lola Tung. This series is Tung’s first professional acting role.

Each year, Belly spends her summer vacation at a family friend’s beach house. She heads down to Cousins Beach with her mom Laurel, played by Jackie Chung (Coming Home, Someone Else), and her brother Steven, played by Sean Kaufman (Manifest, Mature Young Adults).

During the first season, Belly found herself in the midst of a love triangle with Conrad Fisher, played by Christopher Briney (Dalíland, Under the Covers), and his brother Jeremiah, played by Gavin Casalegno (The Vampire Diaries, Noah). In the meantime, Laurel’s best friend Susannah, played by Rachel Blanchard (Peep Show, Fargo) has some devastating news that changes the future of their annual summer vacations.

According to Deadline, a teaser trailer for season two was released. The short trailer shows Belly still torn between Conrad and Jeremiah, Steven graduating, and Laurel and Susannah taking in the summer air.

The teaser trailer can be viewed below.

As Deadline notes, the official synopsis of the second season states, “Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same.”

Deadline continues, “When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together — and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.”

Just next month, fans will be able to see who Belly decides in the end and how she navigates a jam-packed summer.
