According to an Amazon MGM Studios Press Release, Prime Video released a statement on October 9 of a season four renewal for the show Reacher. The second season was highly impactful, receiving the title of most viewed 2023 release for the streamer.
A previous Amazon press release announced series order for a Reacher spinoff titled The Untitled Neagley Project. In more than 240 countries worldwide, the show’s former seasons are available only on Prime Video.
The logline for the third season of Reacher is as follows per the Amazon Press Release: “Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past.”
The cast of the action series consists of Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Titans), Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles), Brian Tee (Chicago Med, The Wolverine), Daniel David Stewart (Kids vs Monsters, The Fugitive), Johnny Berchtold (The Passenger, Tiny Beautiful Things), Maria Sten (Channel Zero, When It Burns), Oliver Richters (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Black Window), Robert Montesinos (We Bought a Zoo, Father Stu) and Sonya Cassidy (The Woman in White, Survivor).
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” said head of television, Amazon MGM Studios Vernon Sanders (The Enemy Within, Harry’s Law) via the press release. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora (Breakout Kings, The Most Dangerous Game), Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios.”
Reacher is based on the global best-selling series written by Lee Child (Jack Reacher, Killing Floor). The action-packed show, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, CBS Studios and Skydance Television, is written by Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora. Child and Santora will also serve as executive producers along with Ritchson, Don Granger (The Family Plan, Gemini Man), Mick Betancourt (Deadly Class, The Purge), Scott Sullivan (Fubar, Scorpion) and Dana Goldberg (Spellbound, Mayday), David Ellison (Flyboys, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) and Matt Thunell (Stranger Things, Cross) for Skydance. Santora is the showrunner. Kenny Madrid (Drone, Bone Appetit) and Carolyn Harris (Just Friends, The Last Victim) are the executives in charge of Reacher for Skydance Television.
