Prime Video’s ‘Fallout’ Showrunner Hints At Storylines For Possible Second Season

The highly anticipated live-action Fallout series, will focus on people who have lived inside a shelter, is now forced to adapt to the post-apocalyptic world. The series is set to make its televised debut on April 12 on Prime Video. According to Screenrant, the known cast members that will star in the show are Ella Purnell (Dawn of the Dead) and Walton Goggins (Tomb Raider).

A teaser of the TV series shows a glimpse of iconic elements and locations seen in the video game, such as the power suit and vault 76. The series is directed by Jonathan Nolan (Westworld) and Todd Howard (The Elder Scrolls) and was filmed in Los Angeles, which is the same setting as the game. According to Screenrant, Amazon is waiting to see how season one will perform while still waiting for the greenlight to start production on the second season.

According to Screenrant, the series co-showrunner, Graham Wagner (The Office), expressed his enthusiasm for the possibility of a second season for the adaptation. In an interview with Total Film, Graham commented,”It’s an uncertain time in television. So the art form of season finales has become: provide enough closure, but leave the door open for more. But we feel we’ve barely scratched the surface of the Fallout universe. We literally have documents and documents of stuff that we’re, with success, eager to dig into. Our fingers are crossed that we’re going to get the opportunity to do all that stuff.”

Ultimately, the fate of Fallout season two remains uncertain. However, the showrunners’ enthusiasm, the vast potential of the source material, and the strategic construction of the first season all instill some hope. Information surrounding the upcoming sci-fi apocalypse series remains under wraps, but with a talented creative team, Fallout is poised to be a must-watch series for all sci-fi fans.
