The widely popular sci-fi action series Fallout will be returning to our screens yet again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has been officially renewed for a second season and will return to Prime Video. This news also comes with the report that the series is in the streamer’s top titles to date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fallout received a whopping average of 94% across reviewing platforms, including the critic’s score. So it is no surprise that a second season is in the near future. The head of Amazon MGM Studios Jennifer Salke talked about the renewal in a statement explaining how excited the studio is about the success of the first season, and for what is to come with the second.
“Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have captivated the world with this ground-breaking, wild ride of a show. The bar was high for lovers of this iconic video game and so far we seem to have exceeded their expectations while bringing in millions of new fans to the franchise,” Salke said in her statement, “the cast led by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan have knocked it out of the park. We’d like to thank Jonah and Lisa and our friends at Bethesda for bringing the show to us, as well as Geneva and Graham for coming aboard as showrunners. We are thrilled to announce season two after only one week out and take viewers even farther into the surreal world of Fallout.”
Fallout is a series that is set in the far future. 200 years to be exact, after a nuclear war. It revolves around three survivors described by THR as “a naive “vault dweller, a warrior member of the Brotherhood of Steel, and an undead Ghoul.” The cast includes Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Aaron Clifton Moten (Disjointed), and Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight).
There is no official starting date for production released as of yet. But filming is expected to allegedly film in California.
