Prime Video revealed their slate of presentations for this year’s upcoming San Diego Comic Con Thursday morning, as per an official press release. The streaming giant’s schedule includes a number of exclusive premieres for some of its biggest most anticipated intellectual properties, as well as multiple appearances by prominent cast members.
According to the release, some of the newest additions to Prime Video’s upcoming catalogue are Blade Runner 2099 and Carrie, both of which are miniseries seeking to reimagine nostalgic ‘80s franchises in a new light. 2099 will act as the third entry in Ridley Scott’s iconic Blade Runner saga, and will feature actresses Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) in leading roles. As plot details for the miniseries have remained scant until now, the Hall H panel will serve as fans’ first look at how the dystopian sci-fi world of Blade Runner has changed since we saw it last in 2017’s Blade Runner 2049.
Mike Flanagan’s (The Haunting of Hill House) Carrie miniseries has remained similarly under wraps since its announcement. Per Deadline, the series reimagines “the story of misfit high schooler Carrie White (…). After her father’s sudden death, Carrie finds herself contending with the challenges of attending high school, bullying scandal, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.” While the Prime Video iteration of Carrie will obviously pay tribute to both Stephen King’s 1974 novel and Brian De Palma’s 1976 movie, the panel will also provide a chance for showrunner Flanagan to display what distinguishes his version of Carrie from her many previous incarnations. Numerous members of the series’ cast, including Summer H. Howell (Curse of Chucky), Amber Midthunder (Prey) and Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s), are set to make appearances at the panel (via Prime Video).
In addition to 2099 and Carrie, four other Prime Video series are set to receive updates at the convention (via Prime Video). A trailer for Season Four of action-thriller Reacher is expected, along with teaser for its prequel spin-off Neagley and guest appearances by stars Alan Ritchson (War Machine) and Maria Sten (Swamp Thing). The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will share behind-the-scenes look at Season Three, while Batman: Caped Crusader will premiere the full first episode of its upcoming sophomore season. The latter will also feature a subsequent Q&A with the show’s cast and crew.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 runs from July 23rd to July 26th, 2026.
