Prime Video has announced the premiere date and released a teaser trailer for the third and final season of its hit series Maxton Hall – The World Between Us. According to a press release on Thursday, Season three will premiere Dec. 9, 2026, and the new teaser offers a first look at what’s in store for Ruby and James.
Maxton Hall – The World Between Us has become Prime Video’s most successful scripted international Original series in the platform’s history. Its second season continued the series’ success, making it the number one spot in multiple countries.
Along with the teaser, Prime supplied the season three logline, which reads: “Ruby, played by Harriet Herbig-Matten (Schwarzes Gold, Where’s Wanda), has been suspended from Maxton Hall College. Her dream of going to Oxford is slipping away, but she refuses to give up. Together with James, played by Damian Hardung (Softies, Love Sucks), they fight to prove her innocence. The closer they get to the truth, the more it threatens to tear everything apart. Friendships are tested and secrets they never expected come to light. In the end, they must decide – is love enough?”
Additionally, the streamer announced the cast list for Maxton Hall – The World Between Us season three which aside from Herbig-Matten and Hardung includes Sonja Weißer (Mozart Mozart, Der Kroatien Krimi) playing Lydia, Eidin Jalali playing Graham (Mozart Mozart, Zitronenherzen), Ben Felipe (Tatort, Im Grunde Mord) playing Cyril, Fedja van Huêt (Voord de Meisjes, Draadstaal) playing Mortimer, Runa Greiner (Kacken an der Havel, Die Kaiserin) playing Ember, Justus Riesner (Selling Sex, Loving Her) playing Alistair, Govinda Gabriel (Your Life in Film, Encounters) playing Kesh, Andrea Guo (House of Yang, Love Me, Love Me) playing Lin, Frederic Balonier (Westend Girl, Where’s Wanda?) playing Kieran, Eli Riccardi (#Schwarze Schafe, SOKO Köln) playing Elaine and Dagny Dewath (Die Rosenheim- Cops, SOKO Stuttgart) playing Ophelia.
Martin Schreier (One Night Off, Robin Hood) directed this upcoming season. Markus Brunnemann (Die Diplomatin, Die Eifelpraxis), Eike Adler (Softies, Unsere Wunderbaren Jahre), and Ceylan Yildirim (Armanas Geheimnis, Als Mama Schlief) will all be executive producers.
Sandra Stöckmann (Kalkar 81, Pumpen) and Yildirim are head writers for season three, with Catharina Junk (Berlin, Berlin, Aus Gutem Haus), Marlene Melchior (Loving Her, SOKO Hamburg), and Aylin Kockler (Stardust Hotel, Ghosts) as additional writers. Valentin Debler (Cold Start, Sunny – Who are you really?) will once again produce for the season.
The German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF) supports the series.
