Prime Video Reveals First Look at New ‘Countdown’ Series, Set to Premiere in June 2025

Prime Video recently revealed some first-look images along with the premiere date for its new action series Countdown. The series is set to debut on June 25, streaming exclusively on Prime Video throughout more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. A three-episode premiere is set, with episodes following weekly up until Wednesday September 3, which Prime Video has set for Countdown‘s season finale.

Prime Video states that the series is created by Derek Haas, who has notable credits as executive on features such as One Chicago and FBI. The series is also produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

According to Prime Video, the cast of Countdown is led by Jensen Ackles (The Boys, Supernatural), Jessica Camacho (The Flash, Watchmen), and Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria). The series is also set to star Elliot Knight (The Boys, Your Lucky Day), Uli Latukefu (Young Rock, Marco Polo), and Violett Beane (Death and Other Details, The Flash).

Official logline for the series: When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum, portrayed by Ackles, is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.
