Prime Video Releases Official Trailer For New Series ‘Cross’ Premiering On November 14

According to the official press release, Prime Video has released the official trailer for the new series Cross; the crime thriller will star Aldis Hodge (Black Adam, Hidden Figures) as the titular Alex Cross. The series is set to premiere on November 14 and will be available to stream on Prime Video.

The series is based on the Alex Cross book series and its characters by James Patterson. The novel series first began in 1993 and has a total of 20 novels featuring the Alex Cross character. Author Patterson is best known for his high stakes, espionage, thrillers, and fast action stories.

According to the official press release regarding the plot of the series, “Alex Cross is detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify—and ultimately capture—the murderers.” Hodge will not only star as Cross himself but will serve as a producer. According to the official press release, “Cross also stars Isaiah Mustafa (It Chapter Two), Juanita Jennings (What Women Want), Alona Tal (Broken City), Samantha Walkes (Orphan: First Kill), Caleb Elijah (True Story), Melody Hurd (Fatherhood), Jennifer Wigmore (Malory Towers), Eloise Mumford (Fifty Shades of Grey), and Ryan Eggold (BlacKKKlansman).”

This series was created by Ben Watkins, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. He is best known for his work as a producer on Burn Notice and Hand of God. Cross will be produced by Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television. This will not be the first Paramount Television Studios-produced series to be distributed by Prime Video; one of the most popular Prime Video series to date, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, is also from the studio.

All eight episodes will be officially released on November 14. There is also good news for fans of the book series and those who will enjoy the first season since Cross has a confirmed second season on the horizon, with a renewal coming from Prime Videos’ inaugural presentation.
