Gen V is set at Godolkin University, America’s only college for superheroes, run by Vought International, which is an important corporation in The Boys. The teaser also reveals Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption, Starship Troopers), Alexander Calvert (Supernatural, The Edge of Seventeen), and Jason Ritter (Freddy vs. Jason, Raise Your Voice) who will star alongside The Boys actors Jessie T. Usher (Smile, Independence Day: Resurgence), Colby Minifie (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Jessica Jones), and P.J. Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street, Rampage) who will be reprising their roles through guest appearances on Gen V.
Other cast members of the show include Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, After We Fell), Asa Germann (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Caviar), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton, Good Omens), Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters, Ghost Wars), London Thor (You, Shameless), Derek Luh (Shining Vale, All Rise), Lizze Broadway (Bones, Here and Now), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Midnight Sun), Sean Patrick Thomas (Till, Reasonable Doubt), and Marco Pigossi (Invisible City, Tidelands).
The creators and executive producers of the show are Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, who both worked on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Agent Carter. A few notable names who will also executive produce the series are Seth Rogen (This Is The End, Superbad), Eric Kripke (The Boys, Supernatural), Evan Goldberg (Sausage Party, Superbad), Michaela Star (The Boys, Timeless), and James Weaver (Neighbors, The Disaster Artist).
