Upload is a sci-fi comedy set in perhaps a not so distant future where people enjoy all the comforts of holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers. Most importantly the afterlife is confirmed. In that people are able to upload their consciousness to a first class resort with all the virtual amenities one could desire. If you can pay the price tag.
The press release states the conclusion to the series will the see the rise of a sentient AI that intends to wipe out Lakeview and maybe the world. This spells a challenge that our characters have never seen, but there is more than just world destroying AI. There are greedy executives, twists, and breaking of the ones and zeros that make virtual hearts. Our characters must come together for one finals effort to save the world. Greg Daniels serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein (Loaded Weapon 1, Running Point) and Maxwell Vivian (Over Her Dead Body, Get Hard).
