Prime Video Releases ‘Citadel: Diana’ Official Trailer Ahead Of October Premiere

The official trailer for Prime Video’s new series Citadel: Diana has been released in an official press release. The series is the second installment from the world of Citadel — an action espionage series of the same name also from Prime Video.

In an official press release, Prime Video describes the plot as, “Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis [Rose Island, Italian Race]), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio [lo ricordo. Piazza Fontana]), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi [The New Pope, Ripley]), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families.” This new series will be an international departure from its original Prime Video counterpart.

The first season of Citadel premiered in 2023 and starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Baywatch, Barfi!) and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, The Eternals) as the series leads. The world of Citadel will explore the spy agency of the same name as it takes on their energy and agency called Manticore. The Citadel series will expand across the globe after the success of the first season. Citadel: Diana will be an Italian original and the second from the original. Shortly after the November 7 release date, Citadel: Honey Bunny will be released, which is an Indian series. Fans of the original Citadel will rejoice at the chance to explore the wide world of Citadel and the fact that season two of the series with Madden and Chopra Jonas is currently in production.
