Prime Video Orders ‘Silent River’, New Thriller Drama Series Starring John Krasinski And Matthew Rhys

Per Deadline, Prime Video has ordered Silent River, a new thriller drama series starring and executive produced by John Krasinski (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Office) and Matthew Rhys (Perry Mason, The Americans). The project comes from Krasinski and Allyson Seeger’s (Some Good News, Dream Corp LLC) Sunday Night, whose first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios has been extended.

Silent River is told through the lens of two men, played by Krasinski and Rhys, whose lives are far more connected than they realize. The series will explore the cracks of small-town America in the wake of discovering a serial killer among them.

Krasinski, who will direct the pilot with some additional episodes, has re-teamed with two key Jack Ryan alums on Silent River. The new series was created by Aaron Rabin (Secret Invasion, Looking for Grace), who will serve as executive producer, with Andrew Bernstein (The Diplomat, The Nevers) directing and executive producing.
