Prime’s new Comedy drama stars a struggling actor having trouble with his life as well as rumors with his new role going viral among friends and family. The show shows the struggles actors go through and the way stress comes in many forms.

Prime Video produces new pictures and screenshots as well as a trailer for a new comedy series called Bait. It will be six forty minute episodes that will be available March 25, 2026 in more than 240 countries and many territories worldwide. The show even previewed at the Sundance Film Festival for a test viewing.
Bait is a comedy-drama that stars Pakistan actor Riz Ahmed (The Night Of, Sound of Metal) who plays Shah Latif that auditions for a movie that stars James Bond, and everyone pressures him to get the James Bond role, thinking the actor will get big and famous. Latif gets desperate and frantic to the casting choice and his family and friends react to the news whether he gets it or not. The show follows Latif’s life and shows that the actor life is not for everyone, it is stressful and takes a certain breed. The actor learns what is truly means to be an actor and is made to be inspiring to upcoming actors.
Other co-stars and actors include Guz Khan (Army of Thieves, The Bubble) as Zuffi, Sheeba Chaddha (Haq, Doctor G) as “Tahira,” Sajid Hasan (Jaan Nisar, Balaa) as “Parvez,” Aasiya Shah (Unforgotten, Bloods) as ‘Q,’ Weruche Opia (Sliced, Our House) as “Felicia,” and Ritu Arya (Red Notice, Polite Society) as “Yasmin.”
The show will be produced by Left Handed and Jake Fuller (Emily in Paris, Colby) on behalf of Jax Media. Ben Karlin (Modern Family, 50/50) produces the show along side of Amazon MGM Studios.
