Tomorrow kicks off the premiere of Pretty Little Liars season four. The last season finale left viewers on the edge of their seats. With a handful of the main characters left nearly dead and the possibility of revealing the identity of Red Coat, it is clear that season four already has high expectations.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the television show’s boss Marlene King, who said, “It felt like it was time to start delivering some answers. We’ve been hiding Easter eggs since season one and the pilot, and it felt like it was time to let the audience in on what we’ve been doing.” King continues to declare season four “the season of answers–and it starts right away with the premiere.”
However, answering some of the series’ most burning questions is not the only plan for the upcoming season. When speaking about PLL’s couple Aria and Ezra, who broke up in the season three finale, King says, “The beauty of season four is [we’re] going deeper with these characters than we’ve ever gone.”
Season Four’s first episode titled “A is For A-L-I-V-E” airs at 8 pm ET on ABC Family.
