Well hello there Mr. Detective Sir.
Earlier today, it was confirmed by TV Fanatic that Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars is getting some hot new talent added to the upcoming 7th season. Although fans may argue that no one can compare to hot, ex-English professor, Ezra Fitz, they may have to bite their tongues for this new face.
Nicholas Gonzalez will be joining the drama of the Liars for season 7. It appears Gonzalez has landed in Rosewood with a reoccurring role as a detective. Joining the Rosewood Police Department as newcomer Vic Furey, Gonzalez is meant to be a sexy, witty, straight-talker who is investigating the open homicides plaguing the city of Rosewood; and of course the girls are not too far from those open homicides. I’m sure it won’t take long for Detective Furey to catch up with the girls.
Coming from a background of reoccurring guest appearances, Gonzalez has had roles on Seth MacFarlane’s Fox animation Bordertown, The CW’s The Flash, and he will be appearing in Star, the new Fox musical drama by the co-creator of Empire, Lee Daniels.
He will be joining series regulars: Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery, Troian Bellisario as Spencer Hastings, Ashley Benson as Hanna Marin, Ian Harding as Ezra Fitz and Tyler Blackburn as Caleb Rivers.
Rumor has it also returning to the show, after a season long absence, is a potentially blind (again) Jenna Marshall. Marshall, played by Tammin Sursok, is the younger stepsister of Toby Cavanaugh. Marshall has been gone from the show since Alison returned in season 5. It is unclear how long Marshall will be in Rosewood or what type of role she’s stepping into; good girl or bad girl?
There are a lot of questions still left up in the air about season 7 of Pretty Little Liars. What’s going to happen between Spencer and Caleb? Is Hanna alive? What kind of role will newcomer Detective Furey play? Why is Jenna back? Is this going to be the last season?
And if it is the last season… Will we finally learn all the secrets surrounding the Pretty Little Liars?
It looks like we all have to wait to solve these mysteries.
Be sure to tune into the 7th season premiere of Pretty Little Liars on Freeform, June 21st.
