AMC’s original series Breaking Bad follows high school chemistry teacher, Walter White, and his regression into organized crime due to his predicted lifetime drastically shortening due to intense cancer labeled as “inoperable stage 3A adenocarcinoma”. Because of the high expense of chemotherapy and wanting to send his two children to college, he teams up with dropout and druggie Jesse Pinkman and puts his chemistry skills to use creating ultra-pure methylamine commonly known as crystal meth. White corners the Albuquerque market and becomes a legend in the business, eventually adopting the mantle of “Heisenberg” leading to further corruption and despair; not great for Walt and Jesse but always great to watch.

Since Breaking Bad ended in 2013, Paul and Cranston have reposed their roles of Walt and Jesse in other AMC projects in the Breaking Bad universe such as Netflix’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and Better Call Saul; a spin-off series following Saul Goodman, the shifty lawyer that helped Walt and Jesse run their drug ring on several occasions played by Bob Odenkirk (Nobody, The Incredibles 2, Seinfeld).
