‘Phineas and Ferb’ Revival Starting Production During Writers Strike

According to ScreenRant, ore news about the Phineas & Ferb revival was revealed in a TikTok video with Dan Povenmire (Scoob!, Going Overboard, Psycho Cop 2) sharing his experience while the revival and his other show Hamster & Gretel are both currently in production. He confirms that the show will reign true to the original series ending back in 2015 and have some new fresh ideas while sticking to olden and golden formula of Phineas and Ferb.

Povermire says, “So, today is the first day of our new Phineas writers room, and this morning, after months of very thoughtful conversations about how I can delegate and how I can schedule so that I can run both shows (Hamster & Gretel) without it completely destroying me, my usually very reserved producer Brandy texted me this. [“LET’S DO THIS DOUBLE SHOW CRAZY S—T!!!! WOO HOO!!!!”] Yeah, let’s do this, let’s go!”

While details about the new Phineas and Ferb series are limited, Povenmire teased that there will be episodes set in different time periods, including the characters’ teenage years. The show’s original voice actor, Vincent Martella (Batman: Under The Hood, Everybody Hates Chris, Milo Murphy’s Law), has also hinted at his return, but no official announcement has been made. The new series is confirmed to have at least 40 episodes spread over two seasons, with the possibility of further renewals. It is yet to be seen whether the show will be streamable on Disney+.
