Amy Acker has been promoted to a series regular on the CBS drama Person of Interest, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Acker plays the role of Samantha Groves and also turns out to be the identity behind the unknown cyber hacker “Root”, which was a huge plot twist on the series. The announcement was made during the Person of Interest panel at Comic-Con yesterday afternoon, reported Entertainment Weekly.
In addition to Person of Interest, Acker has appeared in many television series including CSI, Warehouse 13, Once Upon a Time, and Grimm. She can also be seen in several movies including “The Cabin in the Woods” and “Catch Me If You Can”, according to IMDB.
Acker has worked on several projects with creator Joss Whedon, a popular figure at Comic-Con, including television series Angel and Dollhouse, and most recently the movie “Much Ado About Nothing”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The Hollywood Reporter announced the Person of Interest premiere will air on CBS on September 24, at all new time 10 p.m.
